As a result of HEA 1273 affecting IC 27-7-3-15.5 remember that beginning with closings after 12-31-11 settlement agents will now need to complete information for the IN RREAL database for residential cash transactions in addition to the current requirement for residential sale or refinance transactions.

The IDOI has issued Bulletin 139 concerning the Title Insurance Enforcement Fund Fee (TIEFF). As a reminder to title agents, please send in the collected TIEFF's with policy remittances.

Beginning July 1, 2006, a $5 per policy fee for the DOI Enforcement Unit will take effect on all transactions closed after July 1, 2006 in which a title insurance policy is purchased.
